All about Emlyn's Coppice glamping

We have one goal in mind: offering our guests a luxurious, affordable and all around exceptional glamping experience. Emlyn's Coppice covers every aspect of your perfect Welsh countryside break: *woodland location *5 minutes from the coast *romantic *bijou, self contained pods with ensuite, kitchen facilities, and hot tub, and of course at the gateway to Eryri/Snowdonia, the adventure capital of Cymru/Wales. Emlyn's Coppice is set in the grounds of School House, a 19th century Gothic revival former Catholic School. The glamping site itself is named for the schools most famous pupil, Emlyn Williams (1905 - 1987), An Actor, Writer and Director, having appeared in 41 films and teleplays by the time of his death. He also wrote 20 screenplays, and 20 plays including his most celebrated work, the semi autobiographical "The Corn is Green". Now, almost coming full circle,  proprietor Nic Breeze (professionally known as Harrison Breeze) is also a former Actor and Director, having run a successful Pantomime company for many years, and having appeared on screen in Hollyoaks, Brookside, Peaky Blinders, Our Girl and many more. He also occasionally sings for his supper as a professional solo vocalist and with a tribute band playing Benny from ABBA. Scroll down for more information on the site, surrounding countryside and activities available nearby.

We've added a few of our favourites below, but for more ideas,  just

Meet The Team

Nic Breeze - owner and manager

Nic "Harrison" Breeze

Proprietor & Head Groundskeeper

Caroline, landowner and owners wife

Caroline Crosswood

Her Ladyship

A former competitive rower, and passionate about horses, Caroline is as much the hired muscle as she is admin and business planner! Just stand back if she's shifting big logs. Her own career and the restoration of "School House" keeps her busy away from the coppice, but she does manage to keep us all in check, she is after all the lady of the manor!

Freddie the Pheasant

Freddie

Head Pheasant
& Guest Relations

Leader of a group of five beautiful young ladies, Freddie is king of his domain, and has grown rather fond of the food put out for Jack & Vera! He'll now wonder up to anyone holding a Quality street tin just in case there's some food in it!! But he does do a good job with guest relations, so we don't mind so much

Jack & Vera

Pond maintenance engineers

New to the Coppice in 2022 since we un-bogged the pond areas, Jack (above) & Vera (not pictured), have been very industrious in keeping pond pests down and scoping out the woodland bog for a new home. As of writing Vera is on Maternity leave (we think), but Jack is continuing to help with keeping the ponds healthy. Look out for them but don't expect to get too close, they are quite a nervous pair. He'll now wonder up to anyone holding a Quality street tin just in case there's some food in it!! But he does do a good job with guest relations, so we don't mind so much

Nic is the owner, manager, receptionist, accountant and PR officer for the site, with a few more duties to boot, including overseeing the groundskeeping. He's a also an actor with both stage and TV credits to his name, and vocalist with one of the UK's very best ABBA tributes, Watch That Scene", playing Benny, as well as performing as lead vocalist with Rock of Eighties - 80s tribute (Glamp festival anyone?) Passionate about sailing and kayaking, Nic has now also become a Marine Mammal Medic with the BDMLR (British Divers Marine Life Rescue).
